    Super backpack!

I am now very satisfied with the backpack.
At first I wanted the "Thule Perspektiv Daypack Rucksack" but after research and lack of workmanship... I changed my mind =) That's good.
I wanted a backpack where I could take
my equipment through my trips or hikes without lack of space... and this was just right for my equipment, only the negative in the potivie sense... it goes quickly around 15kg but the carrying comfort is very comfortable. Great backpack!

All in all, this backpack is _exactly_ what I was looking for, it only has one drawback: it's still a bit too small (^_^)

This backpack perfectly meets my criteria and has passed the acid test: 5 months in Australia with continuous use as a backpack and photo bag. I am very satisfied with it

    My criteria:
    - Access to SLR from the side without
    taking off the backpack.
    - Storage space for 2 additional lenses and countless small items (filters, adapters, etc.)
    - Storage space for travel utensils (glasses cases, hankies, water bottle, food, umbrella etc.)

The modular construction plus double side access of the ProTactic have proven their worth: the lower photo equipment compartment can be completely rearranged (sometimes several small, sometimes a few large lenses can be packed). I also appreciated the fact that I could easily change my two most important lenses without having to put anything down: in Australia I often changed between standard lens and wide-angle for my Canon 70D. I could easily stow the other lens in the second side pocket and change it standing up (Sideways).

I really appreciated the extra storage space at the top for travel gear, although it was tight (for me): a jacket _plus_ drinks, food, glasses etc. is unfortunately not in there: a thin windbreaker almost completely fills the space. If LowePro were to make a larger model one day, I would be one of the first buyers! The lower area for photo equipment could also have been a bit bigger.

Big + : you can move all the contents around for photo equipment. I was even able to cram my bulky Tamron 150-600mm (!) in at the top. This allowed me to take almost 15 kg of photo equipment with me.

Many details are well thought out:
    - sewn-on loops all around the backpack allow you to fit things everywhere and even pick it up by it
    - the hard-shelled lid of the upper part is also a pocket for small junk, which is well protected. That's where I kept all my SD cards, passport etc. Super!

Unpleasant: the (very robust) zipper for the top lid sometimes jams. You often have to "grumble" a bit.

    Pro

    • Two page accesses - super practical
    • Good compromise between photo and daypack
    • Hard, robustly processed
    • Good padding and workmanship
    • Can be divided in many ways, many small partitions
    • Hard lid with integrated pocket for delicate small parts
    • Comfortable to wear
    • Upper part even holds Tamron SP 150-600 mm , pushed in wide
    • Sophisticated tripod mount
    • With waist belt comfortable to wear all day even with heavy filling

    Contra

    • Back part leads to unpleasant sweating: poorly ventilated
    • Zipper for top cover sometimes jams

Super backpack for travelling and hiking. For camera, drone and tripod.

I bought the backpack for a two-month trip through Indonesia. I took it with me as hand luggage. It is theft-proof because the main zip is on the back, making it more difficult for thieves. The backpack is also very robust. Shifty backpack. I have had it on my scooter on the bumpiest roads in Indonesia and my equipment remained intact.
The backpack is also very spacious. For example, I had 1 drone (2 spare batteries, control unit, battery charging station), 1 SLR camera (with lens), 1 additional lens, microphone, 1 GoPro, 2 different holders for GoPro, SuperSuit Case for GoPro, diving filter for GoPro, spare batteries and charging stations for everything, 1 MacBook Pro (15") in my backpack.
Inside the backpack, you can design the dividers yourself, and it also has many extra compartments.
In addition, you get special holders for the outside of the backpack.
For: water bottle, tripod, extra bag and clamps.
It also has an integrated rain cover.
Personally, it felt good on my back and was comfortable to carry. But you have to consider that it can also be heavy, especially with a tripod.
