Battery life, stock Android + Moto Actions and great everyday performance speak for themselves. Buy recommendation!

After the Nexus 4, Meizu MX 4 Pro and the (unfortunately much too early) OnePlus 3, I have now been using the Moto Z Play for a week. When I unpacked it, I was a bit shocked at first, as the device seemed huge, heavy and somehow clumsy. But this impression was quickly put into perspective and was probably only due to the direct comparison with the OP3.
In the meantime, I wouldn't want to change to another device under any circumstances. The reasons are:

    Pro

    • Insane battery life (4 days with a total of 10h SoT! OP3 reached just under one day with max. 3-4h SoT)
    • High-quality, well-made housing
    • Super performance despite SD625/3GB RAM - feels faster and more performant multitasking than OP3
    • Upgrade to Android 7 Nougat coming in the next few weeks
    • Sharp display with great colour representation and good visibility in sunlight
    • Moto Mods & Moto Actions
    • OS very close to Stock Android
    • Price

    Contra

    • Camera delivers beautiful pictures in optimal conditions, but otherwise quickly reaches its limit
    • The jack plug emits a low humming sound, but it is only audible when no music is playing.
    • SD625 not fast enough for demanding games - but who gambles on their mobile...
    • Relatively large and heavy, therefore not suitable for small hands

Super phone! until also the camera

Super device with excellent battery life and Full HD OLED display (also helps save energy).
I can recommend it without reservation. I now use the LG G6 but was happy with the Moto.

    Pro

    • OLED display
    • huge battery
    • nevertheless chic design

    Contra

    • "only" Full HD resolution (no disadvantage for me)
    • Camera quality only OK
