I bought this dock for my Linux laptop because the description lists Linux as a supported operating system. Unfortunately, however, a proprietary "DisplayLink" driver is required for the display connections, but this hardly works anyway. As far as I know, this applies to all USB docks (including Type C). Therefore, I recommend that all those who have a Thunderbolt 3 port get a Thunderbolt dock for Linux, such as the "Lenovo Thunderbolt 3 Dock". This works perfectly and without additional drivers on any Linux operating system.
Under Windows, however, the dock seemed to work well for me. Therefore 3 stars anyway.

I bought it to connect a second monitor to my Ubuntu computer (only has USB A ports). The docking station has an HDMI and a DVI connection. It worked without any problems. In the ZIP file that can be downloaded from the manufacturer's website, you will find a README that explains the driver installation in detail.
