  Optical upgrading, protection of the hard disks

  HPE finally has front panels for the servers on offer. It improves the look of the rack enormously compared to G7. The hard drives, which are hot-pluggable, are well protected from "long fingers". Can be seen as a third layer of protection: Sealed room, sealed rack and (this) sealed server.
  The recess on the right makes it possible (with a little skill) to press the power button. For comparison: Dell PowerEdge 2950 also had the power button protected. more
