HP P1102W LaserJet Pro
Laser, Black and white
fine, small laser printer that does what it promises. The most important advantage is that it is an HP printer that works in the usual simple way. Only disadvantage: it is an HP printer that has to be installed and configured with the usual unspeakable HP software.
Super printer with very good print quality, small and reasonably priced. Works flawlessly via wifi from tablet or laptop.
No unnecessary installations required. Toner cartridge is also inexpensive and lasts a long time. Absolutely recommendable for private or small offices!
A nice little printer - until you change network routers. If you have previously switched off "Direct Print" via hardware, you are out of luck and can throw the printer away. It is no longer possible to connect the computer to a network. The HP forums on the subject are telling - some of the experts don't even know which HP has "Direct Print". The fact that a function that is needed for the wireless configuration can simply be switched off at the touch of a button, but not switched on again, is a scandal.
And oh yes, the HTML configuration does not work - here too the HP forums say worlds.
So, who wants to install the thing only once, then ok. But if you're thinking of changing routers, you'll have to get rid of the nice thing and buy a new one. HP hello!?!?

It's actually incredible that you can get a laser printer for 100... I plugged the printer into a W10 device and Windows did the rest for me. Commissioning within 5 minutes.
The installation of the WLAN was very awkward... But otherwise it's a top product!!!

Since we bought the printer as a replacement and still want to use up the toner in the old printer, I can't say much about long-term use.
However, the installation was anything but simple.
None of the given installation methods worked. Wirelles installation didn't work - didn't want to find a WLAN. Then connected the printer via USB - drivers were installed. HP Smart Install did not open automatically and could not be opened "manually" as described in the instructions. Finally tried with the installation CD - the printer was not recognised at the point where it was supposed to be connected.
Only after completely uninstalling the driver and starting again with the installation CD and THEN connecting the printer did it work. (Installation did not work before on either Vista or Windows 8.1).
So first start the installation from the CD and connect the printer FIRST when you are asked to do so and not as it says in the quick start guide.
After that, wireless could be set up well and has worked flawlessly so far.
I have experienced many installation problems with HP printers (many HP printers installed in the last 7 years).
However, without good PC knowledge I would not have been able to do this and would have had to call on support - in my experience this is rather "sluggish" with HP.
