    Hands off it

    I bought this charger for 91.- at D to save weight on the trip to Lofoten. Sitting in nowhere I then put 2 Canon batteries and plugged my gimbal in the USB. At some point it struck me that the gimbal wasn't charging and I had to learn that this thing only ever either charges batteries or powers the USB. It's a joke.
    But it got better. When charging the Canon battery there was an error message and the battery could not be charged afterwards even in the original Canon charger. I thought it was the battery, until it happened with another battery. I had to discharge the batteries in the camera until I could use the Canon charger again.
    In summary, fingers away from this charger.

    Fulfils its function very well

    Essential for those who use a dual-battery grip.
    The alternative would be to buy a second charger from Canon - I considered this option at first - but this would take up more space on the desk and occupy two sockets.

    Very good

    I like the ability to charge two batteries at the same time as I have a battery grip, and the display shows the status of the charge, which is handy.
