  after i received a direct message from a google manager last night that there was news, i have consequently updated the
  
  - march security update for pixel
  
  - Carrier Services 53.0.358250514-carrierservices_V53j_RC02
  
  installed.
  
  
  RESULT:
  
  5G works!
  
  unfortunately, he has not (yet) explained to me how the whole thing actually works and what it fails in each case, that as in this case 5G (or back then with VoLTE, Wifi Calling, etc.) not simply funktnioniert from the start.... will still provide that.
  
  the whole thing works by the way on the pixel 5 and pixel 4a 5g, have tested it with my devices and it works.

  Once again typical...
  In itself a very good device (have been able to test it briefly) but 5G does NOT work with swisscom and probably not with other CH providers.
  
  Problem:
  - Once again swisscom and google are blaming each other.
  - There is a (totally unnecessary) certification program from google, Swisscom blocks and does not want to participate
  - Swisscom does this only for devices that Swisscom also sells. Highly questionable and not at all timely to simply limit themselves to the devices that you sell yourself

  ...what "comming-soon" means can imagine everyone who already knows the unspeakable story with VoLTE and WiFi Calling on earlier devices (which at least now works on the Pixel 4a 5G) more

  Price Performance

  Süpi Phone...but,
  Would the 4a-5G rather 400.- I would say are certainly 4-5 stars drinn. So one is satisfied, but it remains so a sallow aftertaste man have paid rather too much.
  Missing the phone in the price list but essential features, (IP value especially) in the price league. But I just wanted a stock Android phone, there is not much left.
  Btw, 5G was not a reason to buy.
  
  That I find it rather too big after my perfect PH1 with 5.8", is then rather subjective.
  The 4a I think would be a good solution, if the price would also correspond to the Google proposal in Switzerland. Hope could contribute with the info something good to the community.

  • price rather high for the performance
  • sharp edges at the bottom of the LS, kills the little finger when holding while writing
  • not sufficiently waterproof
  • Headphone jack is at most a lint collecting hole. Thinking of the IP;) maybe ...?

  Very good phone for the price, but didn't last long

  Very good phone for the price! Loved it, until it started having hang-ups. Now I can't even turn it on anymore, no signs of life. Warranty expired.
