Still TOP after 2 1/2 years

I have been using the watch for 2 1/2 years now. The battery still lasts for at least 2 weeks and just yesterday there was another update of the watch software. The watch still synchronises with the latest mobile phones (I use a Samsung Note 8.) I would buy the watch again at any time and can recommend it without reservation.

    Pro

    • Long runtime (>2 weeks)
    • Even after 2 years, software updates are still available

Almost perfect, but very big step forward from previous models

Apart from the weight and size, perfect: Great functionality for all sports, incredible autonomy (1-2 days in GPS, more than a week as a watch with BT on), fast satellite search, much improved activity synchronisation, even after more than a year of intensive use. Nothing to do with the previous models. As a smartwatch it is useless, unfortunately Garmin also tries to make it a useless smartwatch or a pedometer with a good conscience.

    Pro

    • Design
    • Autonomy
    • Function
    • Lifetime
    • Much improved connectivity compared to previous ones
    • Speed of satellite acquisition

    Contra

    • Quite heavy
    • Garmin Connect sucks at counting steps and activity like a regular smartwatch
    • Connectivity can still be improved
