For this price a very good card printer

I have already printed about 50 cards with it. It is used to print membership cards with QR code and business cards.
Quality is very good. (Very important, don't dirty the cards with greasy hands or you'll get black marks
    on the cards).
The software and driver installation ran automatically and without errors. Then the printer was connected, recognised and ready. What more could you want?

The feed of 25 cards is great and also works perfectly.

The software of the Badgy is really great. Creating card designs or membership cards with QR or barcodes is super easy. This software alone has really inspired me. Many card printer manufacturers can take an example from this usability.

The only thing to mention is that the Badgy is really loud, but that doesn't bother me personally. (Quite a bit louder than my old Datacard card printer).

For this price, it's a really good card printer.

The printer that would not print

    Hi there,

If you want to buy this printer, don't do it!

The positive thing is, as I said, the printer can still print badges. With a good shredder you can destroy the badges again if they come out wrong again.

    The main
problem with the printer is the Badgy software that comes with it. We use this printer in our company with different users. Via the OneDrive, they all access the same file where the badge template is stored. Actually, it is not difficult to work this way and it is quite normal in modern companies.
But this is a process that the Badgy developers have not thought of.

First, the Badgy Studio Software (BS) is saved to the desktop with a ./log path after installation. This, of course, prevents users from opening the programmes. But for admin users, the file path is correct. This took me 10+h until I could solve this error.
The second problem is that the OS adjusts the scaling of the fonts on each computer. We all have the same computer model, with the same screens. Yet the badge template looks different on all of them. So we can't produce 100% identical badges. This is a pity, as it would be useful for the corporate identity.
Thirdly, the BS programme often crashes and sometimes the templates get lost.
Fourthly, if you uninstall the badgy incorrectly, it does not uninstall correctly and you have to delete the printer manually via the registry keys. Uninstalling incorrectly means installing the printer driver before the OS software.
Fifth, Badgy support is useless and they know it, which is why they refuse to respond to emails.

    Conclusion:
Buy another Badge printer unless you are a masochist.
