Cuckoo CRP-P1009S
When I ordered, I wasn't sure about paying so much for a Rice cooker when all the other Rice cookers I had previously bought were all less than CHF 100. However none of the previous rice cookers I bought cooked the rice perfectly (sometimes a little burnt at the bottom, and forget about brown rice) and I was alarmed that once again the anti adhesive coating on one my cheap rice cookers was now peeling and ending in my plate.
I am happy to confirm that after 6 months with the Cuckoo I have no such issues; cooking is always perfect (always put slightly less water than recommended, maybe 10% less). I am very happy with this Rice Cooker and would buy again if I ever needed to, but given how well designed and built this device is I don't think it will be on my usual 3 year replacement cycle.
The rice cooker is very stable, especially the inner pot of cast iron enameled. The operation is very simple, menu and voice controlled (although only English, Chinese and of course Korean). You could cook many different kinds of rice and also other dishes like porridge in it, that hasn't been on our plan yet, but the rice will be great!

All in all, the appliance feels 10 times better than our old Reishunger cooker. The pot is a highlight! Perfect rice cooked in less than 30 minutes! One-two portions are ready in under 20 minutes, even on the quick programme! I also tried sticky rice: Smooth 100/10!!!
Unfortunately you have to google quantities and water/rice ratio. There is also no on/off button, which can be conveniently solved with a smart socket.
The first product delivered had signs of use, scratches on the buttons and was dusty from the packaging tape it was immediately clear that it had already been used. I returned it immediately! The second appliance was 99% flawless with a minimal housing defect, but that doesn't bother me so much. Resi cookers are supposed to cook rice and it does this quickly, efficiently and with perfect results, even when you need more!

I've been eating rice almost every day for over 30 years. This thing makes good rice. I think the steaming function with the plastic plate is horrible. Appliance smells a bit like plastic at first. Navigation is super practical with voice instructions. Then you don't need the instructions. Screen icons are not SUUPER self-explanatory.

As expected, a good rice cooker from the Korean, I had wanted one for a long time. I previously had a Chinese one of about the same price, but after using it several times the pot started to get scratches. This one looks good quality and has all the functions you need.
