does what it is supposed to do and mimics a normal battery pretty well.
If the battery can really be charged 1000x, then it's a bargain compared to 1000 bought normal batteries. If it can only be charged 20 times, then it is already cheaper.
Pictures show comparison of normal battery to CoastX battery.

Digitec should offer the pack with OR without the 4x USB cable (price reduced by the same amount for the version without!). I know this cable is essential, but I don't need several.

The artificially generated, battery-like discharge characteristic is an ingenious idea. I use the rechargeable batteries in stage microphones. The sudden death of classic rechargeable batteries was previously the reason for me to use battteries instead of rechargeable batteries (nothing more stupid than a mic that dies in the middle of an event without you being able to foresee it). This way, on the other hand, you can see the charge status on the mic display early on.

This can be used to operate devices that did not work with 1.2 V Ni/Cd batteries. Fully-fledged replacement for conventional batteries.

Capacity could not (yet) be meaningfully compared with traditional batteries, but they feel quite ok.
I'm happy to recommend it for energy-saving devices such as LED candles. Excellent product!

I have used this product in two chip-controlled cat flaps, where a high battery voltage is important for the correct functions. This product behaves like an alkaline battery and slowly lowers the output voltage so that you receive a warning from the device that the battery voltage is low. You are then in time to change the batteries. Unfortunately, I didn't realise this when I bought my first 1.5V Li batteries (Pale-Blue brand) and had to find out what happens if the battery cell suddenly switches off. Fortunately, that doesn't happen with this brand. Certainly cheaper in the long term than alkaline batteries.

Had these batteries with me for a camper trip and was never disappointed. Last well, residual charge was recognised by the devices and they were recharged surprisingly quickly.

I have been using for some time now the batteries purchased for: headlamp (daily use sometimes prolonged), kitchen scale, alarm clock, digital room thermometer and external sensor. Regarding the headlamp, as I have no perception of residual charge, I recharge when I perceive a decrease in brightness.

It's a shame that new charging cables are included in every pack. It would be an advantage if you could buy the batteries without charging cables but at a lower price. At some point, the new charging cables end up in the electrical waste and that's a real shame... It would be nice if you could order rechargeable batteries without charging cables.

A cool idea. And it looks like the concept is proving its worth. A fairly powerful battery, with the voltage of a normal alkaline battery, but rechargeable.
You save the money for the charging station, but the rechargeable batteries are really expensive!

I can now finally use my Canon binoculars with stabiliser with rechargeable batteries, which I can even charge on the go with a power bank.

The wildlife camera has so far worked perfectly with these 1.5V rechargeable batteries.
After 14 days of operation, excitingly still 100% in the system display.
It will be interesting to see how long it really works.
(The battaria-hungry soap dispenser did not work with this type of USB-C battaria)

Charging via a USB-C connector (x4 connector cable supplied) is ideal. Nowadays, everyone has a charger, so you don't need a bulky, special battery charger. After buying a first batch of 4, I was very satisfied and bought a second batch to cover my needs. What's more, a small transparent plastic box is supplied for storing the batteries.
You just have to be careful not to put any strain on the cables during charging as the USB-A to USB-C adapter doesn't lock properly, but once you know that, it's ok 😉
Would definitely recommend!
