The top printer
Great first impressions. Easy to install: unpack, switch on and follow the on-screen instructions. Installing the software on a Mac is easy and much better than on previous printers.
The quality of the scanner is good and for the few prints I've had, it's top notch. We'll have to wait and see if a magic error code appears in the meantime...
Filling the ink is easy, clean and has an indicator to prevent the colours from mixing up.Pro

Top printer very favourable in maintenance
Very good device for frequent printers. Definitely the best alternative to lasers. Much lower maintenance costs and flexible paper handling. Costs a little more (about the same as a laser), but is much cheaper to maintain. Bottle costs 10 francs for 3000 pages (with economy mode even 4500 pages). Certainly the best option if you print or copy a lot in colour. It's good for the wallet

Touch me, print me, love me!
I am absolutely delighted with this device! The Canon MAXIFY GX1050 is a real workhorse and totally uncomplicated. Setting it up was child's play - plug it in, click it through and it works! This is exactly how technology should be. I particularly like the duplex printing, which works quickly and reliably without having to turn anything manually. The print quality is superb, the colours are vibrant and clean, even when printing photos on special paper. The closed paper tray at the bottom is a real plus. No annoying piles of paper at the back, nothing gets dusty, everything is compact and tidy. The scanner also delivers top results, razor-sharp and fast. What particularly surprised me: The display is not only razor-sharp, but also a touchscreen and that in this price range! To be honest, I hadn't expected that at all. This makes operation super intuitive and really fun.
The delivery via Galaxus was fast and reliable as usual. All in all, an all-round successful device that I think is worth every cents.Pro

- Plastic looks solid, but not classy: it's more of a "business compact class" than a "luxury saloon
- No lighting in the paper tray, you have to switch the light on again, what a step backwards!
- Design? Function beats beauty.

I've had the printer for about 2 months now and it simply does a really good job.
Refilling the ink is very easy and very clean.

Great printer, small, decent print quality for this price range. To be seen over time, but in any case, fragile parts can be replaced and the Galaxus warranty is extendable.
