Beeline Velo 2 GPS
For me as an orientation dope, simply THE salvation.
I resisted having a large device on the handlebars, or the mobile phone (damage in case of a fall), this small but sufficiently large display is perfect.
> Navigating from current location - flawless
> Navigating with loaded GPX waypoints - works, sometimes the display is a bit confused and corrects itself within seconds (maybe it's my old mobile phone...). BUT: Before a change of direction you hear a beep, you only have to look at the display then, otherwise eyes on the road. Therefore, the above "shortcoming" is not relevant for me.

I think the Beeline Velo 2 is great and recommend it to others! You only need the mobile to plan the route, then the route is transferred to the device and the device takes over the navigation. Depending on the available routes, you can choose between 'Fast', 'Quiet' or 'Balanced' before starting the tour, whereby 'Quiet' selects roads and cycle paths with less traffic. During the tour, the mobile is only needed if you deviate from the route and the route needs to be recalculated. This means that the mobile consumes practically no battery (except for the Bluetooth connection to the device).
During the journey, you don't need to look at the device all the time. If a change of direction is imminent, the device beeps about 80 m beforehand once and twice when the time comes. I have now driven about 200km with the device on roads, cycle paths and forest tracks and have only once had the situation that a turn-off was indicated that did not exist. However, this is not due to the device but to the map material, which is constantly being improved, among other things, by customer feedback during the journey (red / green button for evaluating a route).

Great as a sat nav. It is compact and makes the attachment of a large mobile unnecessary.
Unfortunately, it's pretty useless as a speedometer:
Firstly, it only shows speed if a route has been started in the mobile app beforehand. And why is it not possible to start a route from the Beeline?
In addition, the Beeline app cannot be installed on the Apple Watch. So you actually always have to get out your mobile if you want to record a route so that Beeline can show you the speed.
Secondly, the speed information jumps back and forth somewhat wildly because the GPS recording obviously doesn't work exactly. This surprises me somewhat, because a sat nav in a car, for example, has no difficulty displaying the speed correctly.
In daylight, the lighting is also too dark (even at the brightest level), whereas in the dark the lighting is too bright (even at the lowest level).

The Beeline Velo 2 is a device with an app that’s been specially designed for the needs of bicycle and motorcycle riders, and impresses with its minimalism, clear display and good navigation. It’s well suited for commuters and anyone who likes to explore new routes. As user ratings are taken into account, there’s definitely better information and more reliable route guidance for more popular routes than for trips a long way off the beaten track.
The device is well made and can withstand heavy rain and splashes of mud. However, operating it using the pressure points on the device takes some getting used to. I’ve already failed to turn it off a few times. Instead, it stayed in standby mode, but this had virtually no effect on the battery life – 11 hours according to the manufacturer.
If, like me, you don’t like mounting your phone on your handlebars and are looking for a good way to explore new bike ride or commuting routes, the Beeline Velo 2 might be for you.

The first time I unscrewed it from the holder, the device slipped out of my hand and fell to the floor. The glass came off quite easily at the edge, but fortunately everything still works. A little more grip all round wouldn't go amiss. Otherwise, I am completely satisfied!
