    Best headphones between 150-300 francs

I switched from the Beyerdynamic DT 990 Edition to the AKG K712 Pro. Why? Because the trebles of the DT990 were simply too sharp. I couldn't listen or gamble for long with them, my hearing got really tired. Otherwise, it was top-notch. The K712 Pro does exactly what I wanted it to do and therefore offers the optimal sound experience of an open headphone for a decent price. In my opinion, these are the best headphones I've ever had in this price range. It leaves nothing to be desired in several genres and plays beautifully.

    Very good headphones!

I use the headphones in the studio and in everyday life. In the studio, they are mainly used for mixing, where they really do a great job.
But also in everyday life (only at home) it gives me a lot of pleasure.

    Sound:
    I've
had the Sennheiser HD 25 for 3 years, so they should serve as a basis for comparison here.
Compared to the HD 25, it has a much broader sound, i.e. the stereo effect comes across really well, you can hear exactly which elements are played where on stage.
The frequency response or the reproduction is about the same in the mids, the highs come across better with the K712, and you hear percussion noises that you don't hear with the HD25.

The bass is a lot fuller compared to the HD25, which is not to say that the K712s colour the sound, they simply have a wider frequency range. This allows you (in contrast to the HD25) to design basses in the synthesizer. For the final touch, however, you still need speakers =)

The K712 copes well with all common genres, even watching movies is very enjoyable.

    Portability and wearing comfort:

The K712 is not really portable, especially not in comparison to the HD 25. However, it is not designed for that. But with the bag that comes with it, you can protect it from dust in your backpack and transport it well.

It is really comfortable, I wear the headphones every day for several hours - no pressure, no scratching, no nothing.
The ring cable that comes with the headphones is also very practical, and it's just the right size for me. You can also take the headphones to bed with your laptop without a cable war.

The ear pads are a little dusty, but they can be removed and replaced if necessary.

no Brainer, that's what we need!

It will soon be 3 years when I bought the 712 Pro. Before that, AKG's like K 142 HD and 612 Pro were regularly put on.

The 712 Pro has never disappointed me in all that time! It masters the different genres I listen to
with flying colours. Some say that the 712 Pro has a bass weakness, which I can't really understand. Those who like to listen to mud and muffled sounds should give AKG headphones a wide berth. You'll find "bathtubs" elsewhere.

The spatial representation in games as well as the stage imaging in music are second to none. And if you want it even better, it becomes disproportionately expensive for the last 5-10%, like everywhere else.

At the current price, the 712 Pro is an absolute no brainer!
