I had a foam with me. I bought a dead cat separately. In windy conditions, the foam won't help much. The combination, however, works ok.
Sure. You can record up to 96kHz (sample rate) and 24bit (bit depth) with the appropriate cables from Main Out to In 1/2, which offers the best quality for all sound sources. The integrated XY stereo mic also performs well, if you have a steady hand or better use the decoupled handle (sold separately) or preferably a tripod. I can recommend it without reservation for its intended use.
What size did you use? I was able to use 8 and 16 GB successfully. I've heard on the net that zoom takes ages to boot up with larger memory cards. However, I have never had the problem that the card was not recognised at all.
Hello, we use the Zoom H5 for choir concert recordings and usually with a 16GB memory card. This is enough for about 7 hours of recording. The device shows you how long the memory capacity will last, depending of course on which settings you use. Kind regards
I don't see what could be wrong with lithium batteries. But I don't have the instructions at hand at the moment, so I can't look them up.
