Question about Zoom H5

I bought a zoom H5 but it does not work with the SD card. Formatting does not work either. I have tried two different new SD cards. Are there certain restrictions with SD cards?

What size did you use? I was able to use 8 and 16 GB successfully. I've heard on the net that zoom takes ages to boot up with larger memory cards. However, I have never had the problem that the card was not recognised at all.
