Sure. You can record up to 96kHz (sample rate) and 24bit (bit depth) with the appropriate cables from Main Out to In 1/2, which offers the best quality for all sound sources. The integrated XY stereo mic also performs well, if you have a steady hand or better use the decoupled handle (sold separately) or preferably a tripod. I can recommend it without reservation for its intended use.
What size did you use? I was able to use 8 and 16 GB successfully. I've heard on the net that zoom takes ages to boot up with larger memory cards. However, I have never had the problem that the card was not recognised at all.
Hello, we use the Zoom H5 for choir concert recordings and usually with a 16GB memory card. This is enough for about 7 hours of recording. The device shows you how long the memory capacity will last, depending of course on which settings you use. Kind regards
