With which provider could you buy a prepaid eSim that works with this watch? Or which subscription with eSim can you recommend for this watch? We are having trouble finding a provider that has a prepaid eSim or a low cost subscription for this watch with eSim. Thanks in advance.

I would like to give my granddaughter a child-friendly smartwatch (top limit CHF 150) for Christmas and have some questions: -> Does it necessarily need LTE (eSIM/microSIM) for the location query by the parents or does it work with the GPS function and installed Watch app? -> Can BOTH parents use the GPS/Watch app function? -> Which smartwatch would you recommend for this purpose (it should also be waterproof)? Thanks for good tips!

Hello Gallus - Yes, it needs an eSIM (currently there is a great offer from Sunrise for 5.-/month for all inclusive in CH). - Both parents can use the app separately. - The Xplora actually meets your criteria exactly. Alternatively, there is of course the Apple Watch, which is not really a children's watch.

Good day I can't find the eID on the packaging or in the watch settings. But Sunrise needs it to set up the eSIM. What can I do, or where can I get it? Thank you Alexander

I called Sunrise and said it was a children's watch (they also offer the same watch) and they emailed me a QR code so I could link the watch.

hello have downloaded the app for x5play. inserted a swisscom sim. sim unlocked. then you have to enter the qr code. now the message appears on the app: unfortunately not possible. only works with the x5play watch. it is an x5 play. what now?

Same for me with Salt SIM. One more day with Xplora support and then it goes back to Digitec: DoA.
