Tefal guarantees the safety of their products thanks to controls that are more demanding than the ones required by legislation on food contact. There is no BPA transfer into the food when using the products.

I don't know, I sent it back because it mostly comes with BPA. Magimix makes a metal and glass only steamer, and with recipe book and app.
