I don't know if there is an additional one that you can buy. But your assumption that large chunks of limescale will seep through if you don't descale frequently is correct. I still can't do that with my pre-hardened kettle and am therefore a bit disappointed. It's probably a matter of getting used to it. If I haven't descaled, I usually use a normal sieve as well.

Does it come with a Swiss plug?

Normally, yes. However, if this is not the case, you will receive a mini adapter with the article. Such as this one: Max Hauri Fixed adapter (Schuko socket, Type E+F (CEE 7/7)). Simply clip it onto the socket and you're done!

I thought tefal is french, no? Anywsy, I assume digitec for the most competitive price gets the stuff from whatever, thus manuals might not be be in trio desirable languages. There are 2 buttons on the kettle - one for temperature and one to boil, it's quite intuitive...
