Questions about TechniSat DigitRadio 2 S

Hello Community. I've just had mine delivered. It's clear that the acoustics won't be outstanding at high volumes. But is it normal for it to overheat at 5/15 or should I return it as a warranty claim?

How is the volume controlled on this radio Digitradio 2S? a) steplessly with a rotary knob, or b) in steps by pressing a button?

I have just purchased the radio digitradio 2s and wanted to test the battery. How is the battery charged? After 12 hours with the power on, the battery is still not ready for use. I don't see a battery indicator in the display either, only the current level appears. The battery is new. Many thanks and best regards Markus
