This depends on the TV and not the headphones. The Sony must be connected to the headphone socket. Only with a few brands (e.g. Panasonic, Phillipps, Grundig) can this output be controlled separately.

Check that the base is correctly connected to the mains.
If the charge indicator LED lights up but the headphones do not charge, there is a problem with the headphones and they should be repaired or exchanged under warranty. It would be a shame to have to take the battery out and charge it separately.

Once had a problem with the predecessor. Called Sony and asked for a replacement part. Not available, we don't make them, we don't have them. So I had to buy a new one. It's annoying to have to throw away the one that still "works" just because the manufacturers want and need to make a profit. Mine's rattling on the bracket and it's only a matter of time before you have to throw everything away just because a spare part won't be delivered. It will soon be BF and there will certainly be a campaign for the Sony. Protecting the environment, CO2 looks different😏

Turn up the volume of the TV and it will work. If the TV volume is too low, the sration switches off.
I have never had this problem and this is my second pair of headphones after almost 10 years. You can set the channels on the back of the transmitter. Try selecting a different frequency range there. Maybe a new device you bought is interfering with your enjoyment of watching TV with the headphones.

The power supply unit must simply be able to deliver at least 0.2 A. So those that can supply more current will also fit. It's like a water tap that could deliver more water than is actually requested.

Asked Sony Support and they said no, its unencrypted, unfortunately. So if you use this headphone, everyone can listen in.

I have not encountered this problem but perhaps you are on the same channel as a neighbour. Try changing the channel.
I can't think of any TV that doesn't have a headphone jack, and they all deliver the same signal, so these Sony headphones should work with your TV too. After all, you can use any headphones with any laptop, so why not with a Smart TV? However, as far as Smart TV is concerned, I (75) am not up to date with the latest knowledge and am therefore the wrong person to ask.

Yes, this is quite possible. We use this material in an institution where there are two residents in some rooms and each one has a TV.
I don't use the headphones because I watch TV with my notebook with very good B&O speakers.
The headphones behave in a 'neutral' way. It transmits what it receives from the TV's headphone output. So if the sound bar is on the same headphone output of the TV, both will transmit simultaneously.
However, at home, the sound bar is on the TV's optical TOS output. This way, both (headphones and soundbar) are independent and can be activated separately, without disconnecting/unplugging the jack.
I have never had any problems with these headphones; they always work just fine. Therefore, I can't say anything about this question. The most I can say is that I sometimes hear (faintly) the sound of SRF1 although I am watching another channel. In such cases, it helps to restart the Swisscom box; this phenomenon probably has its cause there.
