No, this device can only play classic DVDs, not Blu-ray. To play Blu-ray discs, you would need a dedicated Blu-ray player.

The device is only designed ex works for DVDs with the appropriate regional country code. As it is a European model (region 2), it does not play DVDs with country code 1 (USA) in the standard configuration.

Hello, The device itself does not have a display. The display is shown on the TV or I have connected a projector. I can then use this to control the device. Another tip when buying is to replace the batteries that are included so that the remote control works properly or better. My batteries were almost empty. Otherwise the price/performance is very good. Mfg N. Altenschmidt

Which connection cables are required?

To connect the DVD player, you will need an HDMI cable. This cable connects the player to your TV and enables the transmission of picture and sound. Optionally, you can also use a coaxial digital cable if your TV or an external sound system has a corresponding connection. A USB cable is not required unless you want to play files from a USB device.

Hi Hugmartin48, Yes, under Playback you can select Random. This allows you to play back titles, chapters or tracks in random random order. This player only supports FAT formatted USB devices (except exFAT). Some USB devices may not be compatible with this player. Sony Europe

Hi, no, the player has a region code printed on the back of the unit and only plays commercially available DVDs (playback only) that are marked with identical region codes. This system is used to protect copyright. (Page 3): https://www.sony.com/electronic... (Copy the link and paste it into a new browser window). Sony Support EN
