Volume of the DVD drive when operating with a DVD?

The volume is quite normal. Medium rather, towards "quiet", but not disturbing. The very short USB cable (46 cm) for connecting to the computer is annoying.
Is the DVD drive of the DVD player "rather" loud, quiet, or barely perceptible when a DVD is inserted?
