Can this dvd player play dvd’s originating from US and UK?

According to our information, the player is unfortunately not region-free and cannot play DVDs in the USA.
As I recall also it did not. From memory, I brought it read the details on the box and gave it back immediately to get a refund. Don’t open the box; they take a percentage off the refund
