Shanling M0 Pro
Shanling M0 Pro
It is purely a player of stored music. No apps can be installed.
Thank you for pointing this out. I have forwarded this for review.
I have enquired with Shanling. The player can read M4b files as long as they are renamed to M4a. The player can save the position of the last file played. It cannot do this for more than one file. This may work reasonably well for listening to books only. If you listen to music in between, you're lost... A pity, otherwise this would be an inexpensive, incredibly small second player. For more advanced audiobook functionality, the Android players e.g. M3X or M3 Ultra were recommended.
Hello, I can't say anything about the playlists as I create folders on the PC and save them using drag and drop. However, the playlists item is listed in the device menu. I discovered the following on the net: The M0 Pro does not have an internal memory, but it does support microSD cards with up to 2TB (according to the manufacturer). Future-proof: The data is transferred to the player via USB-C, and the inserted memory card is also properly mounted as a drive under macOS, just like its predecessor - thanks to a proprietary OS instead of Android. This is not always the case, even with players that cost ten times as much! I had a 400GB card scanned with just over 20,000 titles on it. And the M0 Pro scanned it without any problems and navigation through the music library works wonderfully. In addition to library navigation, classic folder navigation is of course also available.
Yes, it works for me with 512gb, no problem.
There is a test report on kopfbox.de. The Shanling mo pro has a closed OS installed, Linux base, apps, Spotify cannot be installed. You would have to choose a higher Shanling product with open Android OS. kind regards
I have been using the unit for a few months now and have had no such problems.
