Sorry, I don't know that. I no longer have a stick to check that.
I am quite happy with it, but it has a structural weakness: the plastic part below the USB socket tends to break (I have had two and the same thing happened to me). Otherwise, it is very comfortable for the size. regarding performance (read/write speed), I honestly never had time to look into this.

formatting the memory has been completely irrelevant for at least 10 years. every windows and linux includes formatting functionality. you don't need to download an extra tool. If the tool had actually caused damage (which is almost impossible), a linux format would not have helped either.
Works excellently for me and the size does not bother me at all. I can only recommend it.
Yes, that is absolutely no problem. USB is still downward compatible with version 3.1.
