Yes, just tested on 2015 Macbook Pro. Runs as expected. I would be surprised if this is different on other devices. On Windows with the usual contortions it certainly works too.
The black version is offered by us directly, while the blue version is offered by a marketplace retailer, so we have no influence on the selling price of the blue version.
The approximate write rate of this external SSD is up to 1000 MB/s. This figure is based on internal company tests and may vary slightly for TimeMachine backups on Mac depending on usage and system.
The SanDisk external SSD drive with a USB-C interface is compatible with the iPhone 15, as it uses the USB-C standard, which is adopted by the iPhone 15 series. However, make sure the drive is compatible with the specific features you want to use, such as direct video playback or recording.
The SanDisk Memory Zone app can be used on the iPhone to back up and manage personal data such as contacts and photos. It supports automatic synchronisation of this data with compatible SanDisk devices, including external SSDs such as the Extreme Portable (2000 GB). However, there is no specific information on whether the app enables automatic synchronisation with iPhones, as the app is mainly aimed at backing up and managing data on SanDisk devices.
The SanDisk Extreme Portable SSD (4000 GB) with the manufacturer product ID SDSSDE61-4T00-G25 is compatible with Apple devices. It has been tested and is compatible with iPhone 15 Plus, Pro, and Max, as well as other Apple devices such as Macs and iPads.
The SanDisk Extreme Portable SSD (model SDSSDE61-1T00-G25) is compatible with Android phones. It supports USB Type-C devices, including Android phones running Android 11 or later, and comes with a USB-C to USB-C cable and a USB-C to USB-A adapter for easy connectivity.
Yes, the top of mine is also slightly curved, but the underside is completely flat. However, this curvature (at least on mine) doesn't seem to make any difference: I've been using the 4 TB more or less continuously for a good year now (it's attached to the Mac), and haven't had any issues.
Please format this external hard drive in "exfat".
Only then will it be writable and readable (films, videos, photos, data) in both Windows and IOS (Mac).
Sounds like a defect, unfortunately. I would send it in and not use it any more. Afterwards, it works intermittently and then you rely on it and have another data loss.

Apps belong on the FP of the MacBook Pro M1 to guarantee the speed of Apple's excellent architecture.
The SSD is ideal for working with files and folders related to an app installed on the internal FP for photo or video editing, etc.
I already have two 1 TB units in use. Now I have ordered another 4 TB. The enclosures are slightly different (could be that something has been customised. The 1 TB's are from 2022). Now I've noticed that the top of the 4 TB is slightly curved. But it doesn't look intentional in terms of design (below the SanDisk emblem). More like: I'm squeezing something big into a box that's too small. Does anyone also have a 4 TB SanDisk Extreme Portable and could check this on theirs?
I have an iPad with a USB-C connection. The iPad recognised the SanDisk when it was connected. (Presumably, connecting and recognising also works with your Joyroom multi-reading device with Lightning connection to your iPad).
Files can then be copied to the iPad (e.g. with the app 'Files'), but most apps (except e.g. 'Files') do not recognise the connected device. For example, if I have a picture on the 2GB disc, I can copy it to the iPad with 'Files', but I cannot transfer it to the 'Photos' app or import it into 'Photos'.
