The USB-C port delivers 100W. I suspect that this is not enough power for your MacBook. It was definitely too little power for my Dell Precision 5570.

I also had a lot of trouble with the DP-out. There are two modes that can be set. Only one of them works for me. I also had to buy a DP-HDMI adapter so that the image was displayed on my external monitor (different model).... In your case, it could also be due to a non-compatible DP cable....seems to be different standards....
The screen has a control pad on the back, with which you can control or change the OSD and also the inputs. In addition, of course, the automatic channel selection, which then switches on the picture when there is a signal via cable. Greetings

The screen charges 90W maximum power supply via USB-C. Your MacBook, if I have found the right one, charges with 100 - 240W power. It's best to do it as Kathrin said, then it wasn't for nothing.

I solved this by buying a powerful USB C cable - only the monitor is connected to the power supply and the MacBook is charged via USB C

I use only one single USB-C cable to charge and to transfer video and sound data to the monitor. The USB-C cable needs to be of good quality, that is with all circuits loaded. A simple USB-C cable which is only designed for charging purposes will not do the job. All in all it works flawlessly like a docking station for my Mac Book

The Samsung monitor is not quite as fast as the AOC. See the following link: https://www.testbericht.de/produkte/samsung-s24a600nwu#beschreibung I have 2x Samsung LS24A600UCUXEN with the resolution 2560x1440 75Hz in operation, but this only worked on the Displayport and the mini-tors connected via daisy-chain. With the HDMI connection I only achieved 1920x1080.

The screen can be rotated -30 and +30 degrees, but I would advise against buying it, because at 32 inches the resolution should be higher than 2560 x 1440 pixels, because otherwise texts would be difficult to read on this large screen area, there are too few pixels for a sharp display. My suggestion would therefore be 32 inches but with 3840 x 2160 pixels, so that even small fonts can be displayed with pin-sharp definition, e.g. this model, which would also be from Samsung: Samsung S32A800 (3840 x 2160 Pixels, 32 ")

Yes, it is compatible, but I would not recommend it because the MacBook Pro has a high-resolution Retina display and a 4K UHD 3840 x 2160 pixel display fits much better externally. However, the resolution of the screen is not optimal, because a 4K UHD 3840 x 2160 pixel panel should actually be installed at 32 inches. 2560 x 1440 pixels are not recommended from 27 inches upwards, because the font display suffers greatly from the low resolution, especially with smaller texts.
