I received this screen from the shop so that I can work from home. I wanted to connect it to my MacBook (2017) with the USB C cable. It didn't work. It says it needs more power. What is the problem here? I would have liked to be able to charge the Mac directly so that I don't have to connect both to the power supply.
The screen charges 90W maximum power supply via USB-C. Your MacBook, if I have found the right one, charges with 100 - 240W power. It's best to do it as Kathrin said, then it wasn't for nothing.
What kind of power supply does your mac have? If I read correctly, the monitor has a 90W charging capacity, which is pretty good. Usually a laptop charges anyway, but just slower or simply runs with a throttled Cpu. But Mac may be different.
Otherwise try a different usbc port on the Mac.
Hello,
here is a link to this monitor and the technical data sheet:
https://www.displayspecifications.com/de...
It states that 90W is supplied. Unfortunately I'm not very familiar with Mac, could it be that it needs more power? Have you connected any other devices, they all also consume power. But it may also be the USB C cable that is not ok.
I hope I have helped you with these data and thoughts, good luck.
