Questions about Samsung Odyssey Neo G9 - G95NA

In the US the G9 Neo is shipping with a JBL quantum headset, additionally in the EU when ordered before 8th of Aug the monitor ships with a soundbar and a subwoofer. Will Digitec be shipping the monitor with either of these early order bonuses?

I'd recommend anyone interested not to jump on it and wait for third party reviews (not just testers), as the finish on these Samsung screens is very, very average for the price. I have the current G9, and the quality of the plastic is so bad that the screen cracks at regular intervals for several tens of minutes when it heats up/cools down, and this is a problem that seems to affect the G9 as much as the G7. Unacceptable for premium products.

Ordered 5 days ago, but Digitec has not yet managed to get the item in the post. So be prepared for longer waiting times when ordering. Ordered today, delivered tomorrow obviously doesn't apply here!

Hello everyone, Is anyone aware of the following problem? In various games the game crashes and from time to time even blue screens appear. PUBG, Palworld, 7DaysToDie and others... Unfortunately, there are no error messages, not even in the event viewer. My gut feeling pointed to the graphics card (4090s), but it seems to be different after some tested. I tested another graphics card (3070) and this showed a similar error pattern. After upgrading and downgrading graphics drivers, Windows updates, Bios updates, multiple Windows restarts and other steps, I reached my limits... A colleague said it was due to the monitor, which sounds strange to me, but after several days of testing I can now say that it is somehow due to it. I don't have the problems with a different screen. In addition, I have no problems at all without gaming, even with this screen. It works brilliantly and error-free for the home office. It's only when I'm playing games that my computer crashes almost every day. Am I alone with this phenomenon, or has anyone had similar experiences? Looks like Samsung repeating same mistakes by releasing flaky product for early adopters to test: 1. FALD+HDR on NVIDIA GPU's being washed out/unusable. 2. Popping/cracking noises like old G9. 3. At 240 Hz, scanlines. 4. Horizontal color banding viewing solid colors. 5. Seeing individual FALD zones. 6. VRR being automatically turned off when switching between SDR and HDR.

Does anyone else have the problem that local dimming is not deactivated on Auto in SDR? As a result, dark areas are displayed far too dark, among other things the writing on Windows windows in dark mode is barely legible. If you then turn up the monitor brightness, bright areas are displayed far too brightly. Local Dimming set to Off solves the problem. However, it is tedious to go into the menu every time you use HDR and set Local Dimming back to Auto. According to the description, the "Auto" setting should automatically deactivate Local Dimming in SDR.

Is this product 2160p or 1440p? Is the size 49" or 57" ? The Neo should be 2160p at 57" but the datasheet here says otherwise.

With the price increase from ~1400 to ~1700 CHF, the person responsible at Digitec probably overlooked the fact that the 2023 version is 54" and is currently being offered by Samsung for 1999 CHF. The old 49" certainly also has its advantages... but the price is simply unrealistic.

Hello together Does anyone use this display (Samsung Odyssey Neo G9 G95NA) on a MacBookPro (M1)? If so, what are the experiences? Can the keyboard/mouse be connected to the USB's of the display (+1 Usb then still on the USB to the Mac)? Just one cable from the Mac to the display (video/mouse/keyboard) and plugging the keyboard and mouse into the display probably won't work with this display, will it?

Can you see this monitor, in the vicinity of the city of Zurich, with your own eyes in a showroom and test it if necessary?
