Question for Digitec: Why is the Samsung Odyssey Ark monitor so expensive? Samsung offers the monitor itself for CHF 2300.

Good evening, I see that the new 2nd version has just been released, so it's more expensive. I see that the multiview has been improved ok but not much info on it. How is it really better and is the price difference justified. Basically, does it fix all the "little problems of version 1" (if it does, not nice for those who bought version 1)? Thank you in advance for your help. Ps and as version 1 is a bit of a bargain, should we rush out and buy it?

At today's price, to which you have to add a guarantee for a total of 5 years, which I think is compulsory for this type of product, what do you think? should we rush? I've seen videos which say that the pixel density is too low for the size, is this a problem for home office? I currently have a 43 inch smart monitor from samsung and I'm happy with it but only 60 hertz. I have a gamer pc with an rtx 3080 ti. 64 gb ram ddrr 4 and an i9-12900k. What do you think for a use 50 percent gaming, 50 percent home office. Thank you in advance for your help. Unfortunately I don't have the opportunity to go and see one in person, which would be a great help in making a decision, and I can't afford to miss out a second time. PS: I bought the 43-inch smart monitor before my gaming PC. Obviously all the games run in 4k at more than 60 frames per second. the thing is that for my impression everything is fluid. is this due to the gaming mode of the smartmonitor or the type of game I'm playing. I don't know. I'm lost on this one because I've never been able to test a screen at more than 60 frames per second on my pc.

I would be interested in buying it for gaming and photo/video editing. Question for those who already have it, does the 4K really show or given the size do the pixels show easily?

Is it possible to switch the monitor to multiple monitors with one PC if two input cables are connected to the same PC? (Example: two times Displayport)

According to internet research and tests in the office: You can: - display multiple windows from one PC via one output (hdmi for example) with apps and also the window tool. - Display multiple screens from multiple devices - one via hdmi and the others wirelessly. - switch between up to 4 hdmi sources You can't: - 2 cables into the same PC and then into the monitor - multiple sources at the same time via HDMI (should still be patched by Samsung) although 4 ports are available

Hello, does anyone know what the distance is between the back of the stand to the front (center) of the screen? I'm wondering if I can even give myself the 80cms between my eyes and the screen. I'm also concerned that I wont be able to fit any other screens on my desk (which I will need since this screen can only display one HDMI at a time).

Please check the user-manual PDF file https://www.samsung.com/de/support/model/LS55BG970NUXEN/#downloads. You may find some information on page 11. It doesn't tell the exact distance, but you may get a better picture of needed space and adjustment options.

Can anyone else tell me what the better monitor might be. I am torn between the ARK and the Asus PG48uq. Which one is the winner... I assume that the Asus with Oled is the clear winner. Or have I overlooked something. Greetings

I don't know the Asus but I can assure you that the black level of the ARK is absolutely TOP and even puts my Philips OLED TV in its place. LG

Hi all, is it possible to mount the monitor on the wall? or does the adapter for the VESA mount come with it? I don't need it for the wall, but for the SimRig, so weight is no problem, the part may hold it. But I can't find any information on whether it is VESA compatible.

Hi :) Basically, VESA means that there are threads in the enclosure at certain distances. These are standardised distances. Likewise, a VESA adapter is rarely included. Accordingly, it will be difficult to mount the monitor on a wall or on your SimRig. Samsung itself does not give any information about the VESA mount for this monitor, but the website https://www.displayspecifications.com/en/model/91452dee says VESA mount 400x300 ...

The original delivery date was early September but then the delay has been ongoing. On my order page it's said mid Oct but on the front page it's even next year T.T. I understand it's nothing to do with digitec but rather the supplier, however which is the more realistic delivery timeline? thanks!
