Yes, that is a good question. The two devices are absolutely identical in construction (same type) and also recommended by all 3 Swiss providers. It may be that the "regular" version has something extra in it, because the pack is a bit bigger and heavier. The EU version certainly does not include a charger or headphones. I use the charger from the Galaxy A8 or the Galaxy tablet. Both work fine. My S22 EU had Android 12, but there was an immediate update to Android 13. What certainly still needs to be improved in version 13: the Samsung keyboard only offers the "US-English" layout, it cannot yet be changed to German-CH. I therefore downloaded the Microsoft keyboard app from the Play Store; the correct CH keyboard can be set up there. Headphones must be connected either via the USB-C port or via Bluetooth. There is no slot for an SD memory card. But, and this is important to me, I have finally found another smartphone with a reasonable size and the best features.
Samsung Pay did not work for me. I was then asked by Samsung to contact support - without success. Since then, I have simply used Google Pay. It works fine.
No, no external memory card
The S22 EU is an EU version. Samsung pay and WLAN call may not work there. Also, you don't always get the updates like on the CH version
yes sure, no restriction

I got through the day with it. But it's actually the weak point of this mobile phone. Of course you can extend the battery life with a power bank, but then you're carrying more around again. You should actually go for the S23. It has a much better battery. Larger mobiles have the advantage. I have the A54 as a backup mobile phone and it lasts a long time.
@Francesca , the pictures still show an Ultra :-)
Yes
It has nothing to do with updates, because I have certainly already received a dozen updates since I bought the device. I think it's more about the fact that it's not allowed in a trade-in offer, for example.
I had exactly the same problem a week ago. I solved it by uninstalling WhatsApp on the new mobile and reinstalling it. Then I was asked if I wanted to restore the data (photos, videos, chat history, etc.). I suspect that the pre-installed WhatsApp version on the new mobile had led to this problem.
An ESIM can be added via the SIM Manager.
There is only one charging cable included, unfortunately many manufacturers no longer supply chargers (including Google and Apple, only charging cables) and since the newer phones can often also charge quickly, buyers who still have an old charger in the drawer are at a double disadvantage. Companies that supply a charger with every phone that supports the charging performance of the phone, such as Xiaomi and Poco, are still at a disadvantage. An equally good smartphone from Xiaomi, for example, would be the Model 12, which is not very big at 6.28 inches, offers very good cameras and a reasonable price, includes a charger with 67 watts and also supports wireless charging with up to 50 watts, so maybe that's a good alternative? Price-wise it would fit. Xiaomi 12 5G (256 GB, Blue, 6.28", Dual SIM, 50 Mpx, 5G)
Just try it out, the phone can do it for sure, the extent to which connection costs are charged depends on your network operator.
The product manager has indeed just confirmed that we do :)
Device with EU software, Samsung Pay does not run. In my opinion, this is the case with import versions.

The pixel resolution was reduced so that the battery lasts longer. Even with less pixel resolution, the individual pixels are not visible to the naked eye.
Our devices should not be SIM locked. I recommend that you contact the customer service. https://helpcenter.digitec.ch/hc/de
Any charging adapter will work if it has a USB-C port.
yes, the Earbuds are available within the time promotion. However, they are not delivered with the smartphone. After receiving the phone, you have to register it with Samsung and then you get the buds.
The delay that is written has been transmitted by our supplier, we cannot warranty it, and it can change. Please contact our customer service if needed. :) https://helpcenter.digitec.ch/hc/en-us/requests/new
