Hello, your Lumia 950 should probably have Windows Phone (10), the Note 8 probably has Android 8 as OS. Regardless of this, "Samsung Switch" should help you, which transfers calendars and contacts from the Lumia to the Note, see https://www.samsung.com/ca/support/mobile-devices/how-to-use-smart-switch-transfer-data-windows-phone-galaxy-device/. I wish you a smooth transfer :-)

Hello, No, I have not noticed any untimely drop in brightness on my Note 8 (same model). The ambient light sensor is quite sensitive and adapts the screen brightness constantly with a latency of about 1 second. On this subject I had a protective glass which, although apparently perfectly transparent, hindered the measurement and often left the screen too dark. I removed it and the problem disappeared.

I have now also bought the device, but at Interdiscount with a 10% voucher at a slightly lower price! BUT: Joy reigns, WIFI Calling also works at Swisscom!!! That's really cool, because I had bad mobile reception in my flat and was already using WIFI calling with my iPhone! All in all, it's a really great device, wow!!!

This is certainly not a direct answer to your question, but I would like to point out that you may have any portable electronic devices covered by your existing household insurance or you could take out the necessary add-on. In my opinion, a time-limited insurance for individual devices is less practical than a more general solution. By the way, I only mention the possibility because I had unnecessarily insured my Note 3 twice at the time.
