Do any of you also have the problem that "no SIM card, only emergency calls" keeps appearing? Yesterday I wanted to log on to an online portal, but the notification for the SMS with the code never sounded! The phone was offline all weekend. If you google "samsung galaxy A8 2018 No SIM" you are inundated with temporary workarounds such as restart, reboot, flight mode etc. There seems to be no solution to the problem and I fear that a return by the retailer is not possible after more than 6 months of use.

Is the case on this model made of glass or metal? Mfg

Hello Can I make calls and surf abroad with a foreign SIM subscription card and have a Swiss SIM card in the device at the same time without automatically using the device via the Swiss card and thus incurring high costs?

Yes, that is possible. You can switch the SIM cards on and off separately. It is also possible to specify which SIM card is used as the default for data, SMS and telephony. When I'm abroad, I always deactivate my Swiss SIM and only use the foreign one.
