Do any of you also have the problem that "no SIM card, only emergency calls" keeps appearing? Yesterday I wanted to log on to an online portal, but the notification for the SMS with the code never sounded! The phone was offline all weekend. If you google "samsung galaxy A8 2018 No SIM" you are inundated with temporary workarounds such as restart, reboot, flight mode etc.
There seems to be no solution to the problem and I fear that a return by the retailer is not possible after more than 6 months of use.

My smartphone is still running perfectly at the moment. I would talk to your phone provider and think the problem is with your SIM card cornelius

No, I've never had this happen, my smartphone works without any problems. Maybe you need a new sim card.
