phew, good question. Of course, I haven't been able to attach all the current and new devices. But it works for me with all devices: Samsung s7/8/Tab835/Xaomi9/Huawai8 etc.... ... but not the DEX interface (DexOSsystem), which is Samsung-specific, but purely the connection to all possible media screens via HDMI.
I can't answer this as I don't use an N9.
If DeX is installed on the Galaxy, the cable is also compatible, otherwise probably not.
Yes, the S7 FE can use Dex, but there is no indication from the brand on the output resolution. The resolution of the tablet is 2560 x 1600 (WQXGA). It should be the same at output, but unfortunately we cannot guarantee this.

The Samsung a40 is not DEX-capable because the USB interface is only USB 2.0 and not USB 3.1 version.
I have only used it with the Note, works fine. If the Galaxy Book has a USB C, there's no reason it shouldn't work. Have fun.

Yes, it goes without a hitch.

Not compatible you need the station and to watch movies it is possible, example my channel works, for Netflix I can not answer
Unfortunately, I can't give an informed answer - as I only use the Note9. But I can't imagine why it wouldn't work with the S9+.

Unfortunately not. For the S8+, you need the Samsung Dex Station. This adapter works with the Galaxy Note 9 and Tab S4.
I wouldn't take any risks with the Switch and only use original products, the console is quite delicate and even the manufacturers of alternative products now have to advise against using their products because the horror stories of dead devices are piling up on the net.
I would only use this cable for the Samsung Tabs. If you're looking for something to connect multiple devices, I would recommend the Google Chromecast :-)
