Unfortunately, I cannot estimate the exact temperature of the slow cooker. It can also only be set to 8h (i.e. the slow-cook function). I therefore assume that it is rather low or mid. I tried the function once and the result was OK.

No, the appliance works independently and therefore cannot be used on any cooker in general.

I only need it as a rice cooker and to keep dishes warm. :-)
