Hello Mart78: Yes Canon EOS R can be operated with this Rollei remote release (for Canon) without any problems. I use it for the R6 and both have the same E3 interface (jack) for the remote release. An adapter is included for older cameras.

The Canons all have the same jack for the remote release. I think it's 2.5 mm. Even works for the Fujifilm cameras.
