Then you're good to go with the Rode NT-Mini! I used it during lockdown for teaching (music lessons) and for meetings. Also good for gaming, Discord, TeamSpeak, Skype or Zoom etc. Like most microphones they seem best when recording. In live chat, the sound quality is related to the transmission, if yours or the other person's connection is bad, it's all crap.

I think you can use your Lenovo laptop to record the story (e.g. with Audacity), then you can save the audio file in a common format (Tonie accepts AAC, AIF, AIFF, FLAC, MP3, M4A, M4B, WAV, OGA, OGG, OPUS, WMA) and then upload it to your Kreativ Tonie via my.tonies.com. I think the microphone is well suited for this.

The RØDE NT-USB Mini Microphone has a screw with a 5/8 to 3/8 inch thread adapter at the bottom end. This adapter allows the microphone to be attached to almost any microphone stand or studio arm.

Hello Gabriela. Yes, the microphone is compatible with the MacBook Pro and does not need a separate microphone stand. Without a stand, it just sits on the table and is a little far down, depending on the situation. But I also use it this way, among other things to record audio books, the quality is very good and the noise is eliminated.

I have been using the Røde NT-USB Mini for almost a year now when discussing videos and during video conferences. With a mouth-to-micro distance of about 3 cm, the sound quality is excellent. For my taste, however, the sound could be a bit bassier. The installation is very simple. I would therefore describe the NT-USB Mini as an excellent entry-level microphone that meets semi-professional sound requirements. The difference in sound compared to the Røde USB-NT is best seen in the numerous test videos on YouTube.
