Hello jazzouz That sounds like double signal amplification to me. Have you ever connected the record player without phono preamplifier to the Panasonic SC-PMX94 (Audio In)? There are turntables with and without preamplification, I don't know what you have. More detailed information about the record player (for example: Sony PSL-X310BT) would help. Lg Easyk

It is possible to connect a vinyl record player to the Audio IN input, but this usually requires a phono preamplifier to adapt the signal. Make sure your record player has a built-in preamplifier or use an external preamplifier to connect the signal correctly to the stereo system.

Can a vinyl turntable be connected?

The stereo does not allow direct connection of a vinyl turntable, as it does not receive an audio signal as input, only as output. Although it has an audio input port, Panasonic specifies that this model can only emit an audio signal, but not receive one, which prevents the direct connection of a conventional vinyl turntable without an external phono preamp. To connect a vinyl turntable, you would therefore need a phono preamp between the turntable and the stereo system.

You can connect your own floorstanding speakers to the system as long as they are compatible with the output power and connection options of the device. The speakers supplied are specially optimised for the system, but it is technically possible to use other speakers if they meet the same requirements. Make sure that the speakers are compatible with the output power of 2x 60 watts and have the correct connections.

Can other speakers be connected?

Helpful answer

Other speakers cannot be connected directly to the Panasonic SC-PMX94 as it does not provide separate speaker connections for external speakers. The system comes with built-in speakers that are specifically designed for the system. However, if you need to connect to another device such as a TV or soundbar, you can use the optical output or aux input to route the signal to another device.

The Panasonic SC-PMX94 device is equipped with DAB+ reception capability, but not specifically for DAB+ via cable (DAB+ Cable). Here are some important points: - The device supports DAB+ reception, but this is typically realised via an aerial and not via cable. - The term "DAB+ Cable ready" means that the device should be prepared to receive DAB+ signals via a cable connection, but this is not the case for the SC-PMX94. - As your test did not find any DAB+ stations, this indicates that the device is not capable of receiving DAB+ signals via cable. To receive DAB+ via cable, you would probably need an additional DAB+ receiver or another device specifically designed for cable reception.

I can't answer this question because I don't own an Apple device. I would certainly not buy the SC-PMX94 again because 1. the sound is underground and 2. Panasonic support is non-existent. Have a good day anyway, Rolf
