Question about Panasonic SC-PMX94
Do you have to remove the covers on the speakers? why on the photos is there always only one speaker without a cover and the other not?
It simply needs the same plugs/connectors. Picture no. 5 on the Galaxus website for the Panasonic device shows plugs and connections.

Yes, I also use the device with other speakers that are installed in a classroom.
Provided the specifications of the two devices are roughly the same.
