I doubt that the metal links that are inserted into the watch are made of stainless steel - you should IMO see a difference in colour otherwise. I've had the band for quite a long time now, with a normal titanium Apple Watch 7 and with an Ultra ( 1 generation ) and so far have no scratches on the band or on the watches from the band - my old MacBook Pro on the other side has got some scratches from the band on the "watch side" at the edge 😂
