Hello. Probably the price was adjusted for the single, but forgotten for the 3. Please ask the customer service if you have questions about prices and delivery times according to the board rules, the community cannot answer them. https://digitec.ch/de/Wiki/4490 digitec@digitec.ch or +41 44 575 95 00

digitec must answer how old the devices are in stock. The batteries should last about 3 years. My system has only been in operation for a year and works without any problems. The devices are registered and configured via the app. The Wifi network and password are also set. They then communicate with the Nest server via WiFi. The messages are then sent to the app, regardless of the network. With the smoke detectors, the on-site alarm with the siren is probably more important. The same thing works with a Nest surveillance camera.

Helpful answer

The Nest Protect can be integrated into the existing WLAN. There are screws and a mounting plate, I couldn't screw the screws into our ceiling, so I used 3M adhesive strips. I can't say whether this can be used with Apple HomeKit. I use the Nest app on my iPhone.

Hello Ebuergin5102 - I also had the problem and had to remove the sensor from the garage - it is also explicitly stated on the homepage not to install this in the garage. You can turn off the steam detection, but not the carbon monoxide sensor. If the garage is well ventilated, however, it is also possible that only a "notice" comes up and then the all-clear "smoke is leaving". But I see that as risky... Greetings Fabio

The LED only turns green briefly when you turn off the light in the room where the Nest Protect is located. Green means "all is well", yellow means "there is a problem". The LED does not light up during the day or at night (to save energy as the device is only battery-operated). The night light (white LED - night light function) can be switched off. The night light only comes on briefly when you walk past the Nest Protect (detects clear movement) and only when it is dark. This is a very practical function. The product can only be recommended, 1A.
