The Minix is, after all, an Android minicomputer, and so you can basically do everything you can do with any other Android device. Depending on which player you use (I, for example, use the well-known VLC player instead of XBMC), the subtitles will be handled one way or the other.

I use Kodi (XBMC) on the Minix, with the A2 AirMouse from the bundle, there is a context menu button, with which files can be deleted/renamed etc.. Works perfectly.
