Well, conditionally. External hard drives are not really intended for continuous operation. So I can't tell you how long the hard drive will last if it runs for 24 hours.
The cable is supplied with it.
Does the Maxtor M3 Portable also work with the macOS High Sierra operating system (version 10.13.2)?
Yes. However, the hard disk must be reformatted.

The product is okey and recommendable. I only need the external hard drive for normal data backup.
Since I'm not a gamer, I can't comment on Gonçalo's question.

I'm not sure what it looks like with the PS4, but I've attached the good thing to my LG TV as an external hard drive to store films on. Works perfectly.
