Unfortunately, I haven't found anything with HDMI2.1. Since my monitor is only capable of 4k 60Hz and the current and also games will only be programmed for 60Hz in the near future, I decided on this device.
Hello Kilsora
Did you connect the soundbar to the monitor or directly to the PS?
If it was connected via the monitor, you should only be able to switch in the settings of the PS. If you connected it directly to the PS, the question is whether you used a special cable (the optical audio cable from Astro that comes with the A50).
Greetings
Hey Benjamin, I have not yet found an alternative that would fit. With most adapters, you can read the sound from the HDMI cable in order to play it back via an external sound system. But with the Astro adapter, not only is the sound read from the PS5, but your mic input is passed on to the PS5. If you find an adapter that can do this, there should be no problem with the 3d sound, as this is calculated by the headset. Greetings KingRaven90
That's right, it's a real pain. I mounted my Astro A50 over the PS5 without an adapter. Instead of connecting the optical cable to the console, I mounted it on the TV and set the audio settings of the TV to "output via HDMI + optical connection". Works well but doesn't offer 3D audio like this adapter promises us, but until the release of this adapter it's a good solution.
