I think it will transmit the audio correctly, but otherwise it's pretty much a bottleneck for modern HDMI standards:

Is an HDMI 2.0 splitter for the output of the GPU not an option?
Hello,
I am looking for a DP to HDMI solution that transmits Lossless Surround Audio (DTSHD, Dolby TrueHD etc..) to send the signal from my graphics card with DP++ ports (Dual Mode) to the receiver.
The audio signal should NOT be decoded by the PC, but by the receiver (the receiver displays the codec used). The only HDMI port of the GPU is already occupied.
It is also not possible to pass this on to the receiver and from the receiver, i.e. the receiver does not pass on any HDMI output.
As far as I know, a passive adapter should do the job.
Is this adapter suitable for this?
Thank you and greetings
