You probably can. I have found myself that when updates have to be made, there are least likely to be problems if the hardware comes from the same supplier.
I don't think it's the HDMI.
You will certainly have to create the USB-C connection between the notebook and the docking station.
Make sure that the docking station is supplied with power with an external power supply unit.
Switch on the docking station with the push button
and if still no picture is visible via HDMI.
Press the Windows key and the P key together and select Duplicate with the mouse.
### Compatibility with Acer Nitro
The Lenovo ThinkPad Universal (USB-C, 3-port) is designed to be compatible with some Lenovo models, but compatibility with other brands of laptops, such as the Acer Nitro, is not guaranteed. We recommend that you check the specific compatibility with your laptop model, as universal docks may not work perfectly with all devices.
### Powering the Laptop with the Dock's Button
The Lenovo ThinkPad Universal dock (USB-C, 3 ports) does not allow the laptop to be switched on in the closed position using the dock's on/off button. Generally speaking, docks do not have this feature and require the laptop to be switched on manually before it can be used via the dock.
For optimum use, make sure your laptop is compatible and consult the manufacturer's documentation for details of the dock's features and limitations.
