hello michale, i have a hdmi and a dp connection on my dock. i have no problems with this. according to the manual, both screens must not be controlled with hdmi. i hope it works like this good luck mumi
I have already successfully used the docking with Dell and ASUS devices. The chances are good, because the docking is officially in the product range of https://www.displaylink.com/products/universal-docking-stations. Of course, this is not a guarantee ;-)
I don't know because I use the device with a Lenovo notebook. Basically, I would leave it alone, as Lenovo only guarantees compatibility with Lenovo notebooks.
The question here is: What kind of Lenovo Yoga do you have? Which model exactly? I use the docking station with a Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Yoga (3rd Gen) and had problems with my external monitor not being recognised, especially in the beginning. However, this problem has not existed for some time. I assume that it has been fixed by a driver update.
Yes, a power supply unit is supplied.
As far as I know, the tablet you describe has a USB 3.0 port but not a USB-C port with Thunderbolt. In my experience, this means that you can connect the dock and use all functions except the charging function. With the latest drivers from the Lenovo site - especially the Ethernet driver - it should work, but it was a small process to set it up.
No, the docking station was designed exclusively for Lenovo devices.
Unfortunately, the supplier could not give me any information on this. However, the question was forwarded to our community so that someone with more experience might be able to give an answer.
Sorry, I have no idea if this is compatible, nor what you want to attach. Sorry
Cable is approx. 80cm long.
According to the reference of the product, it's compatible. :)
I can absolutely recommend this product. I have been using it for a long time with 2 monitors, with mouse and keyboard and with headset. Works flawlessly! I work with a Dell XPS13.
Into my laptop, I have the power cable going in directly separate from the box. I have not tried it any other way and it works fine. I don’t mind having both the power and box connected to my laptop. Indeed I was super happy to find the box, I have been using it daily since I bought it with[it problems. The main benefit it to have 3 screens available to move around various windows of different applications and have then all large enough to use at once. I’m very happy with this product.
Yes the docking station fits
Power supply unit is included. LG
Yes, according to my research, the Surface Book 3 also has USB-A version 3.1 Gen 2 ports, so this should work 👍
Hello. I am using this product with a Lenovo X1 Yoga Gen5 laptop and I have also used it with an X1 Yoga Gen4. These models are very similar to the Lenovo X1 Carbon Gen8, so I assume it should be fully compatible.
I received the docking station and had to send it back a day later because no monitors were recognised. Tried different monitors. It has been a warranty case for three weeks now...
Nimm besser gleich das "grobe" Modell: Lenovo Thinkpad Thunderbolt 3 Dock Gen. 2 (HDMI, DisplayPort, 135W, Thunderbolt, USB A) oder noch besser: Lenovo ThinkPad Workstation Dock Gen 2 (HDMI, DisplayPort, 230W, Thunderbolt, USB A)
No, I haven't seen any DeX hardware outside the Samsung brand yet either...
Hello, I have this docking station connected to a C940 via USB-C 3.0. I was told it probably works with the T940s. However, when I need audio, I have to connect the cradle with the standard USB cable. The station can't pass audio with the USB-C cable. I can gladly answer other questions
Hi, I use the docking station with Lenovo 330/340/460/470/480 with two monitors and it just works as it should. One monitor is 2K, the other is HD. As there are only two monitor numbers on the box, I assume this is the limitation, but not tried. Also works with 32" ultrawide monitor + HD. This is then perhaps already an alternative to 3 monitors...
I had already tested it with several devices that were not on the list (e.g. Porsche Design BOOK ONE) and it worked. Since it is also a Lenovo product and the T460 works well, there is nothing against it. You will just have to install the LAN driver separately. And it may be that you have to connect a keyboard or mouse directly to the device for it to work properly (with PD BOOK ONE it was laggy when I connected it to the dock - with other devices this was not necessary). I think it's a great docking station. In the past, digitec has also been very accommodating when exchanging/returning a docking station that didn't work as desired.
why don't you take the official one? it's also a bit cheaper. Microsoft Surface Dock (Mini DisplayPort, 95W, USB Type A)
